The VR700 Steel are Vendramini's most advanced racing boots. They have been developed in collaboration with Supersport racer Rob Frost with one objective in mind, to achieve the perfect combination of two important factors that do not often go hand in hand: protection and comfort.
The design of these boots has been implemented following a medical and anatomical analysis of the protective parts needed to help prevent injuries to the foot. As a result, the VR700 Steel provides excellent passive protection, yet they are as comfortable as a touring boot.
A safety shell system with 2 inserts in carbon fiber and Kevlar, combined to the integral protection against lateral crushing, absorbs and spreads impacts to the foot the same way a helmet is designed to absorb impacts to the head.
The upper is made of 1.8 to 2.0 mm double tanning premium leather. The leather is reinforced in all critical areas with semi-flexible inox 304 steel in order to provide maximum resistance to abrasive forces.
A lightweight and highly resistant substrate is inserted between the insole and the sole of the boot to resist to about 400 lbs. of lateral weight. The use of potentially dangerous plastics or metallic rigid parts has been intentionally avoided.
The sole is made with real rubber, which provides an excellent grip to the pegs and an improved feel of the bike.
Waterproof thanks to Vendramini V-Tex internal lining, the VR700 Steel also features a second lining made with Outlast Adaptive Comfort temperature stabilizing membrane, which helps stabilizes the temperature inside the boot in extreme hot or cold weather conditions.
A laterally hidden, high quality YKK zipper is the final touch to these outstanding boots.
Optional Sole Inserts -
Vendramini now includes these inserts with all the VR700B Race Steel Boots. Top is made of leather and coconut fiber on the bottom, designed to self-adjust by crushing under your feet. Though not mandatory, their use should provide more fit and comfort. If they caues too much tightness along the width and instep, phase them in after the boots have some initial break-in.
