Giving into demand Staintune has developed the ultimate system for the BMW R1200GS/A
The R1200GS has been put through a new and vigorous R&D and testing program to ensure a simple, effective and durable full system outcome. The system comprises of full stainless steel headers which have a greater internal diameter than standard and sit higher and tighter on the bike. The collector is replaced with a very sleek junction leading to the muffler. The muffler also has been redisigned for greater flow and volume which has added to the throttle response and provides an excellant note.
Performance: The full system design has provided an 8hp gain while static on the dyno. There is also a significant lift in torque directly from the bottom and right through mid-range which improves the ridability of the bike. On the road test and during off road testing, the R1200GS really opened up with a much more responsive throttle which is most noticeable through the mid-range lifting the front wheel with ease through the first 3 gears.
Weight savings: There is an overall 6kg weight saving to be gained by fitting the full system.
Finish: The Full System on the R1200GS consists of the Header pipes, Collector junction and Oval designed muffler with the Staintune designed removable restrictor. The system is delivered in Staintune's famous mirror finish. It looks as good as it performs and sounds.
Should you wish to only purchase the muffler, it comes with an adaptor sleeve to connect to the standard header collector system.
