HelmetHead Cycle™ began in 2001 with the introduction of the Helmet Sunblocker™, a sun visor designed to keep harmful U.V. rays from entering motorcycle helmets and obstructing the view of the road. Experiencing growth, both nationally and internationally, they have since expanded to include major product lines from manufacturers such as GIVI, Staintune, Ohlin's, Held, Famsa, Bridgestone, Pirelli and RKA. Over 25,000 SKU items are available by phone order and dealer arrangements for their Helmet Sunblocker™ reside in the U.S., Canada, the Netherlands, United Kingdom and Spain. International shipments of all products are available to every country in the world.

We, at HelmetHead Cycle™, are dedicated to making sure that you, our customer, receive the kind of service you expect and deserve. All of us here are motorcycle enthusiasts and riders. The products we carry are carefully thought out, and many are tested by each of us. We only carry products that make sense to the people who buy from us.

HelmetHead Cycle's™ goal is to continue to add quality products at a fair price, and give unparalleled service to everyone via a community-oriented website and superior customer service.

What's happening and what's next...

In response to your comments and suggestions over the past few years, on April 3, 2009, after 10 months of software development, HelmetHead Cycle™ launched their latest site, using completely new coding and an entirely new infrastructure. The modularity of the system is based so that the platform can be eventually extended to cell phones and PDA software, as well as third-party developers wishing to create a service portal. The goal is to not be limited by traditional computing habits and to expand our reach.

HelmetHead Cycle™ will be launching a service where everyone can sell their motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, etc. via their website and network of affiliated services. The service will be offered free of charge and open to anyone who wishes to buy or sell related items.

Also, we will be opening the doors to a forum-based environment, and once the popularity has reached a certain level, you could simply "turn off" marketing descriptions of products and only see what other people have to say. You will also be able to "subscribe" to other users via customized RSS or email updates. The software has been brewing for about 3 months and we're scheduled to launch it in mid- to late-summer.

We regularly syndicate to social networks such as Twitter and various press release networks, to enhance our marketing reach. We will also be bringing in data in the form of weather updates, live currency exchanges, real-time order tracking (without going to the carrier's site armed with a tracking number) and more in order to create a more LIVE presence.

Get involved

HelmetHead Cycle™ has created a simple upload utility for you to upload your latest photos and trips. Currently you can leave a small comment with each photo, which we will include with each zoomed image in the near future, but other functions in the works for this are photo ratings, photo commenting and discussions, and a viewable status on the uploader's login page of their photo "stats". The current uploader will accept the common image and document formats — .jpg, .gif & .pdf.

With the launch of the latest site, you can now create, log in and manage your online account via a control panel interface. With the advent of new features, the control panel will accommodate additional functions, alongside your current preferences ranging from email update opt-in/outs, geographical location (beneficial for the forum software and weather updates) and order tracking histories. Future revisions of the control panel will reflect new services on the site, ranging from customizing their preferences of the forum software, messaging updates, general site preferences, etc.

There are rumors that HelmetHead Cycle™ may eventually be hiring (or at least sub-contracting) 3rd party software developers (software languages not disclosed at this time) as well as product maintainers. We're not ready to say it officially at the moment, but we are planting the seed to those who may be interested in the future.
